Programme Description | | You will be able to manage the construction process and to meet the needs of clients within legal, financial and environmental constraints. Construction Managers require a combination of engineering knowledge, good business and organisation skills and a capacity for leadership in managing the building process. LIT graduates have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the construction process and the necessary theoretical knowledge to match solutions to construction problems; the management skills to plan, organize and manage construction projects and the ability to contribute to the construction process in a manner that sustains and enhances the natural and the built environments. |

Entry Requirements: | | Leaving Certificate: A minimum of 2 Honours and 4 Passes in six Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and English/Irish. |

Year 1: | | Construction Technology, Building Systems 1 & 2, Learning and Research Skills, Economics for Construction & Property Specialists, Built Environment Law, Surveying, Construction Practice, Engineering Mathematics. |

Year 2:
| | Construction Technology, Building Services (CM), Surveying, Construction Management and Building Information Modelling, Project Cost Management, Project Administration & Law, Measurement Estimating and Tendering, Integrated Project. |
Year 3:
| | Work Placement Year Capstone Project, Active Learning Diary & Professional Competencies, Management, Dissertation Research. (Students who are unable to secure a Work Placement will be required to complete an Academic Year.) |
Year 4:
| | Construction Technology, Services Application and Management, Sustainable Development, Project Management, Construction Management, Dissertation, Electives: Urban Economics & Regional Policy or Financial Management & Tax
