What is the programme about? This programme is ideal if you want to build an Electronics Engineering career in Design, Manufacturing, Servicing, Marketing or Consultancy. As a graduate, you will have both practical and academic expertise in the area of electronic engineering, telecommunications and in computer and networking systems. The programme includes practical and project-based learning in well-equipped modern laboratories.

Who is the programme suited to? This programme is ideal if you want to build an Electronics Engineering career in Design, Manufacturing, Servicing, Marketing or Consultancy. Programme Aims: The overall aim is to produce a technician that will have a basic knowledge of the theory,
techniques and tools used in analogue and digital electronics and communication engineering.
He/She will be able to use electronic test equipment in order to trouble shoot, repair and help
in the design of circuits and systems.
He/She will be capable of writing basic software code and will have the ability to communicate

Class Contact Hours Year 1 Electronics 1, Electrical Technology, Engineering Science, Engineering Mathematics 1, Introduction to C Programming, Technical Communications, and a Mini Project (this is a small group project). Year 2 Applied Electronics, Engineering Mathematics 2, Telecommunications & Networking Principles, Digital & Microcontrollers, Advanced C Programming, Electronics Project & CAD (Computer Aided Design). Entry Requirement Leaving Certificate: A minimum of 5 Passes in Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and English/Irish.
