Higher Education Authority Website on Student Financing - www.studentfinance.ie

The website is a convenient and user-friendly source of information on financial support for further and higher education.  Studentfinance.ie will provide information on the several financial assistance schemes available in Ireland to help you to progress through further and higher education.
Information is provided on student grants, course fees and details on eligibility requirements for free fees. In addition, you will find out all you need to know about other sources of assistance for students, such as the Fund for Students with Disabilities, the Back to Education Allowance and the Student Assistance Fund. You can find answers to possible questions you may have by accessing our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section. Student Universal Support Ireland - www.susi.ie

SUSI is the single Awarding Authority for all new student grant applications. The online application system provides you with a quick, user friendly way to apply for your grant for 2013/2014. If you are thinking of embarking on either a Further Education or Higher Education Course you should investigate whether you are eligible, and, if so, submit an application. This website is a comprehensive source of information on the student grant scheme and provides a handy step-by-step guide to eligibility and the grants process. The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS)

The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) is the only free, confidential, independent and non-judgmental service for people in debt, or in danger of getting into debt, in Ireland.
The Helpline (0761 07 2000) operates Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm.
It is a national service with over 60 offices nationwide. www.mabs.ie

The Citizens Information Board have statutory responsibility for MABS. MABS is funded and supported by the Citizens Information Board (www.citizensinformationboard.ie).

National Consumer Agency - information for students

The National Consumer Agency (NCA) has a section especially designed for students going to college. It includes information on finding somewhere to live, student banking, budgeting, paying bills and money saving tips. www.itsyourmoney.ie - Information for students

Itsyourmoney.ie, an initiative of the National Consumer Agency, has a new section specially for students. It includes impartial, non-commercial information on making a budget, how to manage bills and some tips to reduce everyday costs. It also features a podcast on the topic of student finances. The Citizens Information Board is the statutory body which supports the provision of information, advice and advocacy on a broad range of public and social services.
