LIT Celebrates Science Week 2018 and Limerick Festival of Science with Science on Campus and in the Community!

Once again LIT, UL and Mary I have come together to produce a programme of events for Limerick Festival of Science. This is to mark Science Week from November 11th - 18th, which is promoted and funded by Science Foundation Ireland.

Super Science Circuit

The Super Science Circuit is a consistently popular interactive event for upper primary school students. The LIT first year undergraduates demonstrate a circuit of experiments that engage the younger students. Also supported by Irish Fisheries and Limerick Council Environment office.

ITLG Young Innovators – powered by LIT

Teams of up to 10 students from schools across  the island take part in an innovation challenge on the day with the support of a mentor as all are guided through the challenge which is only revealed on the day. This years theme is Societal Challenges. This is designed like a ackathon/design thinking workshop.
