LIT-Tipperary is holding an open day in both Thurles and Clonmel campuses next Monday, the 29th of April.

This week a team of 5 highly creative students from Limerick Institute of Technology in Clonmel were awarded prizes from Tesco and Junction Festival for their latest successful team project.

Congratulations to LIT Tipperary's Ryan Cup and League winning captain, Martin Fitzgerald who has been named on the '2013 Future Champions Team' by Comhairle Ardoideachais and the Irish Daily Mail.

The annual Games Fleadh (www.gamesfleadh.ie) event held on the LIT Thurles campus on the 13th and 14th of March has resulted in the development of a new business partnership between a Thurles based games company and a board game developer.

Joseph Bentley and Ger Stone, Games Design and Development students at LIT Thurles won the prestigious Game Studio Ireland Challenge Champions College Cup at the annual national Games Fleadh 2013 held in Thurles recently.

LIT were awarded 1st (Niall O’Hagan and Paul O’Brien) and 2nd (Patrick O’Shea and Stephen O’Malley) place in the Samsung Digital Media Awards in Dublin. Special thanks John Jennings for his enthusiasm, dedication & encouragement.

‘Green Week’ was recently celebrated at LIT’s Thurles campus and coincided with the installation of a new waste management system in the college canteen.
