The course is designed to introduce participants to the principles of Energy management in a manufacturing context. It focuses on identifying opportunities for reduction in energy use in both work and personal contexts and will focus on the application of behaviour change theory to achieve energy efficiencies across operational and technical staff in industry and SME's. It applies the theory of behaviour change to the practice of the participants and facilitates behaviour change in energy use.

What are the entry requirements?

Candidates should possess a level 6 qualification, or have sufficient industry knowledge or experience to be able to engage with the material.

What will the time commitment be?

Each 5 credits will normally equate to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours. Total Learning Hours includes the time you spend in class (lectures, tutorials, practical elements) and the time you spend completing work outside of college.  The balance between these two varies by discipline, and by level of study. You should bear in mind that the workload will increase at particular times e.g. when assignments are due.
