This is a foundation preparation course providing a pathway for international students to gain experience of Third Level Education in Ireland and facilitate entry on to undergraduate programmes at Technological University of the Shannon. The International Students will acquire the knowledge, skills, and competence to successfully participate and embark on their chosen programme. This course will enable them to maximise their potential and make a successful transition to higher education.

What are the entry requirements?

Applicants must have 4.5 IELTS Score or equivalent and a high school qualification equivalent to Level 5 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

International Applicants

International applicants should apply directly to the International Office at TUS, allowing plenty of time for completing the visa process. Applications for September start should be made by 1st June at the latest to ensure visas are processed in time. You should familiarise yourself with visa processing times for your country of origin to ensure you make a timely application. Find out more here.

This programme is aimed at those wishing to experience Third Level Education in Ireland with a view to preparing themselves to engage in a full-time undergraduate programme of study. Progression from this programme to an undergraduate programme within the Institute will be assessed in line with TUS's Admissions Policies and Procedures.
