Pat McGrath: Non-Executive Director & Business Consultant
Pat is a former CEO of PM Group which employs over 2,700 personnel globally. PM Group provides project management, architectural/engineering design and construction management services in the private and public sectors, with a particular focus on the biopharmaceutical, food/nutritional, medical technology, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, energy and mission critical sectors. PM Group operates in over 30 countries around the world.
Pat holds Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Engineering from University College Dublin and an MBA from the Open University. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland and a member of the Irish Academy of Engineering. He is a member of the Board of the Irish Management Institute and a former member of the Governing Body of Cork Institute of Technology. Pat was non-executive Chairperson of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) from 2007 to 2013. HIQA was established under the Health Act 2007 as part of Ireland’s Health Reform Programme. Pat completed the Institute of Directors (UK IoD) Chartered Director Programme in 2014.
Pat runs his own management and consultancy practice focussed on governance, strategic management and business support for clients in the private and public sectors - particularly SMEs. He chairs the Boards of a number of companies.
In December, 2018, Pat was appointed Chair of the Advisory Board of the Questum Enterprise & Innovation Centre in his home town of Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Questum is an initiative of Tipperary County Council and Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) to encourage entrepreneurship in start-up companies and SME's in the region.
