Why Limerick?
Limerick is the third largest city in the Republic of Ireland. The city was founded by the Vikings over a thousand years ago. Today, with a population of over 91,000 people, Limerick is a lively, interesting and attractive place to live and study. The city is magnificently situated on one of Europe’s finest rivers, the Shannon and boasts some significant historical sites.
Why Tipperary?
LIT has two campuses in Tipperary: one in Thurles town and one in Clonmel town.
Thurles town is located at the foot of the Silvermine Mountains, on the banks of the River Suir. Thurles is famed for both its dedication to Irish sports, but also its focus on heritage, culture and the arts.
Clonmel is situated an hour south of Thurles, and is one of the largest towns in the south-east of Ireland. It is a town where modern commerce is embraced by the walls that have guarded the town since the 14th century.
