Each year, 3rd year students across the courses of Mechanical, Precision and Agricultural Engineering complete a Group Project in teams of 3 – 5 students. The projects give the students the opportunity to solve real life engineering problems using their engineering skills and knowledge, such as project planning, concept designing, engineering standards, design calculations, material selection, Finite Element Analysis and manufacture and machining. The project topics are wide ranging with some linked directly to Industry.
