LIT in conjunction with Mary Immaculate College are delighted to announce the 2021 Empower Summer Camp for young and aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators.
The annual free summer camp, which is aimed at secondary school students from transition year up to sixth year, is designed to help young people from the Mid-West develop and grow their innovative, entrepreneurial and creative skills, while also giving them a unique opportunity to work on solving real-life problems.
Gillian Barry, Head of Innovation & Enterprise at LIT, described the programme as a collaborative effort between LIT and MIC in enhancing the skill needs of the region.
“Every young person we work with has the potential to solve problems, to create, disrupt and impact our future in a positive way – to be the next generation of change makers. For that to be fully realised it needs to be nurtured and developed. To power that potential, we have created this high quality, educational, activity-based programme.”
There will be two opportunities to take part in this camp during the summer. The first camp takes place from Tuesday July 13th to Friday July 16th – which is open now for bookings.
A new date for the second camp is being finalised and this page will be updated soon with that information. You can register your interest via start@LIT.ie if you cannot make the 13th July summer camp but are interested in other dates.
Both camps will take place online and will be facilitated by LIT and Mary I.
