EU Postgraduate Students
All Postgraduate programme fees consist of the following two elements:
- A Student Contribution and;
- A Tuition charge.

There are two types of postgraduate students, Research and Taught.
Research Postgraduate Fees 2019/2020
The annual fee for EU Research Postgraduate students commencing in 2019/2020 is €5,007 for a Masters by Research (Level 9) and €5,161 for a PhD by Research (Level 10).
The Fees are charged annually over 2 years for a Masters and 3 years for a PhD full-time.
Where a research postgraduate student fails to complete their programme in the prescribed time a continuation fee will apply of €1,000 in subsequent years.

Taught Postgraduate Fees 2019/2020
The fees for Taught Postgraduate programmes vary and can be found in table four of the Fees Schedule (click here for the Schedule of Fees webpage).
All Taught Postgraduate students can avail of three payment options:
Option 1: 100% on registration.
Option 2: 50% on registration and 50% by the 15 January.
Option 3: By Instalment Plan – Signed and Agreed with the Grants & Fees Office.
PLEASE NOTE: Examination results will not be released to any student with an outstanding fee. Students will not be permitted to register for the next academic session or graduate until their outstanding fees are paid in full.
Students enrolling on postgraduate programmes may be entitled to financial assistance under the Student Grant Scheme. To see if you are eligible for a Grant please click here.
