Application Process for International Students
International applicants should apply directly to the International Office at LIT, allowing plenty of time for completing the visa process. Applications for September start should be made by 1st June at the latest to ensure visas are processed in time. You should familiarise yourself with visa processing times for your country of origin to ensure you make a timely application.

The following should be included with your application:
Previous Qualifications & Academic Results
For entry into the first year of a programme, evidence of your highest level of education achieved is required.
If you are looking to gain advanced entry into an undergraduate programme, transcripts from any previous programmes you participated in are required.
English Language Testing Score
For Undergraduate programmes, a minimum score of IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) is required.
For Postgraduate programmes, a minimum score of IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) is required.
LIT accept proof of English Language capacity other than IELTS, such as TOEFL, Cambridge and Pearson.
A note for 2020 Applications:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic faced around the world, we appreciate that new students are encountering difficulties in undertaking English language tests.
We are pleased to advise that both the Irish Visa Authorities and LIT will be accepting English language test results from IELTS, TOEFL and Duolingo for applications up to and including September 2021 .
The minimum English language score required for 2020 applications is as follows:

3. Submit Application Form
Email your completed application, along with scanned copies of your supporting documents, to international@lit.ie.
We aim to provide an official decision on applications within 72 hours of receiving a complete application.
