Taste Restaurant is TUS' first-class training restaurant based in the Moylish Campus of TUS.  It is the training restaurant for students studying Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Tourism and Events and features the mid-west’s culinary stars of the future.

Taste provides a working pathway for culinary students to get a deep-rooted understanding of working life in a kitchen and restaurant. Our philosophy of Active-Learning, learning through a fusion of theory and practice ensures our graduates are skilful and masterful at what they do. Students get to prepare and cook the highest quality ingredients sourced locally from our artisan suppliers. Our aim is to provide our students with the best skills and experiences, heighten their passion for food, inspire confidence and create a sound foundation for a career in the food and tourism industry.

Our Hospitality, Tourism and Event students strive to deliver a memorable experience for our guests. Taste teaches our students all the skills and knowledge required for exceptional restaurant customer service, bestowing the confidence and expertise required to provide outstanding service and learn how to cater to the needs of every customer and to adapt to every situation. Taste is our teaching facility, where our students face real life situations and can learn under the guidance of their tutors. The modern equipment allows our students to learn using the most current trends so they can hit the workforce industry ready. Our course content provides our students with real industry skills that they can apply throughout their hospitality career.

After completing one of our courses, students will have all the tools needed to start their career immediately. The students and staff have won many accolades both in Ireland and abroad for the skills they are developing.

 

Come Dine With Us

Take part in our students special culinary journey and enjoy lunch Monday through Friday or a delicious night out for dinner on Thursdays, all organised and hosted by our exemplary chefs-in-training.  Directed and influenced by our team of dynamic and experienced lecturers, your dining experience is sure to be a memorable one overseeing our students putting their new skills and natural creativity into practice.
